  National Service Scheme (NSS)
National Service Scheme, Popularly known as NSS is an extension of activities to the higher education system to orient the student youth to community service while they are studying in education institutions, under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India.
The Motto of the National Service Scheme is “NOT ME BUT YOU”.
The main objectives of National Service Scheme
To understand the community in which they work.
To understand themselves in relation to their community.
To identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem-solving.
To utilize their knowledge in finding practical solutions to individual and community problems.
To develop a sense of social and civic responsibility.

Special Programs
District level Disaster Management Training and Selection Camp:It was organized in collaboration with Students welfare department, SGB Amravati University, Amravati last three years in our college by NSS. Various activities covered under this two day camp were fire fighting, rescue operation during flood and smoke, rope climbing, etc.
District level Special Youth Camp: It was organized in collaboration with Students welfare department, SGB Amravati University, Amravati last three years in our college by NSS.
One day District level Workshop on Mental Health and Stress Management: On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, 10 Oct., 2017, Renowned Psychiatrist- Dr. Shrikant Bobade and Dr Meena Bobade from London guided the NSS volunteers all across the district for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma.

  National Cadet Corps (NCC)
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a youth development movement. It has enormous potential for nation building. The NCC provides opportunities to the youth of the country for their all-round development with a sense of Duty, Commitment, Dedication, Discipline and Moral Values so that they become able leaders and useful citizens. The NCC provides exposure to the cadets in a wide range of activities., with a distinct emphasis on Social Services, Discipline and Adventure Training. The NCC is open to all regular students of schools and colleges on a voluntary basis. The students have no liability for active military service.
The Motto of the National Cadet Corps is “UNITY AND DISCIPLINE”.
The main objectives of National Cadet Corps
To develop character, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure, sportsmanship and ideas of selfless service amongst the youth of the country.
To create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life and always available for the service of the nation.
To provide a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up in the career in the Armed Forces.

NCC helps to build the qualities like leadership, team work among the students. It provides opportunities to attend camps such as NIC, YEP in various states in India and in other countries.
NCC Certificates are helpful in every field and gives you an upper edge over other candidates.

  NATURE’S CLUB
The G. S. College Nature’s Club was inaugurated in the year 2000 under the guidance of Dr. B. W. Sawarkar, then Head, Department of Zoology and former Principal of our college with the slogan ‘Save Nature, Save Mother Earth’, and to make the students aware of the current situation of nature, environment, man and the entire ecosystem.
The main objectives of Nature’s Club
To create awareness among society about environment and related issues.
To make them understand the surrounding environment and preserve Nature for coming generations.
To Motivate & aware about the grave situation of nature and means for its conservation.

  Women’s Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Development Cell
Women’s Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Development Cell was established in G S Science, Arts and Commerce College Khamgaon in the year 2005. The major objective of this cell is to make our girl students as well as other women in the local community able, independent and employable in the present era and also to raise their awareness about their rights and duties.
The main objectives of the cell
Spreading awareness among women about health, legal rights, political rights, literacy and environment.
Arranging seminars/ conferences to spread awareness about the issues affecting women.
Constructing society based on gender equality.
Implementing Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign
Entrepreneurship Development of the women through workshops.
Guidance and counselling for self-employment and career building.
Achievements and regular activities of the cell
Hundreds of college girls and women in the locality have been benefitted with various workshops to promote self-employment.
Best from the Waste project in which we prepare bouquets from plastic waste has been very successful and many of our trainees are earning regularly from it.
There is now an increased awareness among girls and women about their health issues and legal rights.
Many of the girls have been empowered through trainings for self-defence.
